We're Playin' Basketball...

Don't tell Dad that is is just the colors and constant motion. My girls are MFFL's! -- Mav Fans For Life! They love to watch The Mavericks...actually they love watching sports in general. I think the constant left to right movement captivates them. But as I write this, they are both throwing fits. Why you ask...because Mom N' Dad are about to eat. It happens EVERY night.

What could have my girls so focused?

That would be the Mavericks taking it to the Grizzles!!! Get Cuban on the horn! My girls are a marketing dream!

When the Children Cry...

This is something that, I will be honest, would have had no effect on me before September 8th. That has totally changed with the two miracles I witness every morning at breakfast and every night when I put my girls to sleep! Please read and listen to your heart:

Mom N' Dad are participating in WalkAmerica not only because we believe in the March of Dimes mission to save babies...but our family has lived it! Premature birth is the #1 cause of newborn death and the biggest threat to babies’ health today, and through WalkAmerica, the March of Dimes is funding important research to find out why premature birth happens and what can be done to prevent it.

Please support our fundraising efforts by sponsoring us in WalkAmerica today. Every dollar you pledge will help preemies survive just like Allie and Brooke. Contributing to our walk online is fast, easy and secure. You can donate directly from our team webpage with a credit/debit card or PayPal. If you prefer, we can also accept cash or check. Just click the appropriate box on our webpage.

Won’t you please help us in this worthy cause? Visit our webpage and sponsor us in the walk that saves babies! With your support, there’s hope...my daughters have felt that hope, please give others a fighting chance as well.

Thank you,
Chad, Brandy, Allie & Brooke

Cheeseburgers in Paradise...

So today the girls had their 4 month check-up with Dr. Bz! I am sending them to fat Camp! Our girls have gained 5 lbs. in 2 months! The girls got their 4 month shots and vaccinations today as well. Two shots in each leg. Four total for each girl. Two screaming kids! It was a beautiful sound...;(

Chunky Update (and then some):
Allie - 11 lbs. 3 Oz. -- 21" long -- 25% height -- 75% weight (adjusted)
Brooke - 10 lbs. 11 Oz. -- 21.5" long -- 25% height -- 75% weight (adjusted)

No Worries, Baby Gap will not go bankrupt today!

Heartbeat...

Remember that Don Johnson song? What a crazy time the 80's were...a TV star could be a singer...now singers are all becoming film stars. Crazy!

So Mom packed up the kids and took them down to Presby Dallas so Brooke could visit with the Cardiologist. They had told us a couple of months ago during the NICU discharge that Brooke still had a PDA. The latest exam still shows that the PDA is open. It is small enough that they are not planning on doing anything immediately but will follow it closely over the next year or so. If it is still open then they can do 1 of 2 different procedures to close it. Both would require surgery with Dr's messing with our little girl's ticker!

We will get an official "Chunky Update" next week when the girls go back to the Pediatrician...but I can tell you now that both of them are 10 pounders! They have packed on the beef sucking down that high-calorie formula and Mom's milk. Hopefully we can change to "regular baby" formula this next week. "Preemie" baby formula is twice as much $.

Glory Days....

Allie giving Dad the best present ever...peace and quiet!
I was looking through all the pictures of our girls from September 8 till now and it is hard to imagine the change. I will try and give you a visual aide:
Brooke went from this:

to this in just 4 months!

What a little chunker! Please tell me those aren't boobies...Dad can't handle that yet. When do girls begin getting "those parts" anyways...? Aaarrrggghh! The idea of three sync'd "cycles" scares me to death!

Just a Swingin...

Sorry for not giving some posts but Dad had a few days off work and took it to catch up on some sleep. Dad's dad and step mom came into town to see the girls and they just had a ball. They had no idea who was who and it even began to confuse Mom N' Dad. If Mom had them randomly placed in the house and did not use or left/right or pink/purple identification technique...I would have a hard time telling who was who. But we can both tell them apart through the baby monitor. They have very distinct cries. We have officially tried every single bottle to feed Brooke. She just can't get the suck skill down like her "big" sister. Allie can take her bottle like a champ...Brooke licks the nipple and never really gets a strong suck. We finally just wind up giving her a 12 month + nipple and let as much as possible go down. She is not losing any weight so she is getting enough.

Mom showing off our girl's new outfits...Allie not liking showing off her new outfit!

Swings...they are almost as great as gold! Whomever invented these contraptions should be given a richous seat in Heaven!

Get Your Motor Running....

Dad's back!!!! I didn't quit understand that your kids can change so quickly in one week. I hadn't seen my girls for a whole week and when I got home they had changed so much. I officially can't tell them apart anymore. All I know is that they should be Gerber babies! They are too cute.
BTW: Mom gets a ton of credit this week for taking care of these two by herself. She kept a tight ship! Thanks to Britt, Ang and "Gran-Jury" for helping pick up Dad's part in my absense.

"One of these kids is doing her own thing...!" Can you pick out the unhappy baby?

"Pssst...Sis, do you know whats for lunch?"

If you squint real hard you can almost imagine a motorcycle and a sidecar!
