Just Another Manic Monday...

Mom here. I think we are all back to the land of the living again. Talk about a house full sickies - mom and dad included! We did find out that the girls both had rotavirus. Nasty, nasty stomach bug! Poor miss Allie stayed in the hospital for a day to get some fluids in her, and then we were sent home with Allie being black and blue in pretty much any vein that you can see. They blew out 8 veins before finally getting one to stay. Talk about torture! We still have to take her back next week to have her liver rechecked since the doctor said it took quite a hit from being dehydrated. But, both girls are eating normal food again as of yesterday, so that is definitely good news. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes - I know they helped!

Allie

Brooke - not feeling too good here :(
Much better!

POOR BABIES! I've been praying for ya'll to have a healthy quick recovery.

I had an idea that it was the rotavirus. Not that i actually know ya'll or i'm a dr...or anything. BUT, my 3.5 year old got it when she was 21months...on our way to AR for a wedding...it was HORRIBLE! I just remember her vomiting and vomiting over and over and over again. That was the one time we did take her to the ER...i was so scared. They actually gave her a phenegran(spelling) and 20 minutes later she could hold down liquids(we had to sit there for hours though, just to make sure she didn't start puking again). It's a miracle drug...but only to be given to children over 2(the dr. wasn't actually supposed to give it to us b/c she wasn't 2...he didn't seem to know much about children b/c he was just a regular ER dr.) b/c i have heard you can have respiratory failure...or something like that.

I'm SOO glad everyone is better now. When that bad virus hits...it is the worst feeling in the world as a parent.

I can't even imgaine what ya'll went through...one at the hospital and knowing the chances were high that everyone would end up getting it too! UGH!

Your babies are precious...i really enjoy reading your blog!

Glad all are feeling better!
